A measured VO2 max test. At home if you have a treadmill or a bike, at your own gym if you do not, and a walking test needs neither. We bring the Calibre analyser and your numbers come back as a plain-English training report.
A real VO2 max test, wherever you can do the effort. If you have a treadmill or a bike at home we come to you and use it; if you do not, we meet you at the gym you already train at and use theirs. A walking-protocol test needs no machine at all, and for most people it is enough. We bring the Calibre analyser. It starts with a readiness screen, because a test that ends at your genuine maximum is not right for everybody, then works up in stages until you cannot hold the pace. You leave with your VO2 max, your peak heart rate and your training zones, written up in plain English. Only the full sporting test needs a treadmill or a bike, so that is the one where a gym may be involved, and there you will need their permission for a guest to be tested. This is training guidance, not a medical assessment.
The XLR8 Wellness team, delivering our own sessions across Tyne and Wear rather than passing them to somebody else. Sekhem and Infinity D sound work, Hekau days and retreats, and measured metabolic and VO2 max testing. What each session involves is set out in full on its own page. Sessions are for adults. The therapy work is complementary therapy and the testing work is training guidance: neither is medical care, and neither is a substitute for treatment from your GP. Operated by XLR8 Wellness.
